Pursuant to the resolution of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine 376 dated 8.12.2021 (item 4), a working group on the development of mathematical and software for quantum computers was created. Currently, the specified group includes specialists from Ukraine and Poland.
A coordination plan of the working group and a corresponding database have been developed.
Within the framework of the Scientific Council on the "Cybernetics" problem at the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine launched a scientific seminar "Quantum Computing".
On September 27, 2022, the first meeting of this seminar was held online.

Speaker: Doctor of Physics and Mathematics of Sciences, head of the department of the Physical and Technical Institute of Low Temperatures named after B.I. Verkina of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine S.M. Shevchenko.
Topic of the report: Quantum computer - from the point of view of a physicist.
The report analyzed the current state of the problem related to the creation of a quantum computer. It is noted that the basis of the work of a quantum computer is the results of fundamental research in the field of quantum physics. Concepts such as superposition of quantum states and entanglement are considered. Basic concepts of quantum computing, such as logical operations, were presented and examples of modern research into physical implementations of quantum bits-qubits were given.
In the discussion of the report, academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine O.M. Khimich, O.V. Palagin, M.M. Budnyk, V.K. Zadiraka.
