The American-Ukrainian workshop of IT specialists on artificial intelligence (ProfIT AI 2024) was held

From September 25 to 27, 2024, the 4th International Workshop of IT specialists on artificial intelligence (ProfIT AI 2024) was held, which was organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA) and the National Aerospace University named after M.E. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute" (Kharkiv, Ukraine) with the support of the Coordinating Scientific Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on Artificial Intelligence (co-chairs Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine O.M. Khimich and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine M.Z. Zgurovsky), the North-Eastern Coordinating Scientific Council Center for Artificial Intelligence (Chairman, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine S. V. Yakovlev), Ukrainian Scientific and Educational IT Society, Kharkiv IT Cluster.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the practical and theoretical aspects of the latest research by scientists and practitioners related to artificial intelligence. The topics of ProfIT AI 2024 covered modern problems of artificial intelligence - intelligent data analysis, natural language processing, computer vision, development and implementation of intelligent systems, ethics, politics and management of artificial intelligence, etc. The program committee received 111 articles, of which 39 were accepted, including reports by scientists of the Institute of Cybernetics named after V.M. Hlushkova of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Educational and Scientific Institute of Applied System Analysis of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence of the Kharkiv National University named after V.N. All accepted reports will be published and indexed in SCOPUS, DBLP and other international scientometric databases.
ProfIT events have been held annually since 2021. Previously, the seminars were organized jointly with the Institute of Information Technologies of the Lodz Polytechnic University (Poland), the University of Waterloo (Canada). In 2025, PROFIT AI 2025 is planned to be held in Canada. Co-organizers of this event will be the Coordinating Scientific Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on Artificial Intelligence together with the leading institutions of the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
