The international scientific seminar "Quantum Computing" has been running since September 2022 at the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the network of scientific seminars of the Scientific Council on the problem of "Cybernetics" at the Department of Informatics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The seminar supports the activities of the Working Group of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and other organizations of Ukraine on the coordination of work on the development of mathematical and software for quantum computers.
The leaders of the seminar are academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valery Zadiraka, Oleksandr Palagin, Oleksandr Khimich. The scientific secretary of the seminar is Inna Shvidchenko, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
In total, about 80 specialists from various institutions of Ukraine, Poland and Great Britain are participating in the work of the International Scientific Seminar.
The topics of the seminar reports are devoted to the development of mathematical and software for quantum computers for classes of problems where there is a quantum advantage:
- cryptanalysis tasks;
- quantum generators of random sequences;
- quantum key distribution;
- searching for the desired record in a disordered database;
- quantum protocols;
- simulation of a quantum system for a polynomial number of steps;
- the discovery of the "implicit linear form" (the period of an arbitrary sequence on abelian groups);
- efficient implementation of the Fourier transform using quantum algorithms;
- solving optimization problems;
- the use of blockchain technologies in quantum systems for storing information and managing the operation of such systems;
- quantum machine learning, solving artificial intelligence problems;
- the application of quantum computer technologies in the decoding of the genome, the development of new medical products, meteorology, research in the field of nuclear energy, research in outer space;
- quantum teleportation, etc.

The seminar is held in video conference mode using the Zoom platform. Performance schedule: up to 30 minutes.
To participate in the seminar, it is necessary to send to the e-mail address quantumcomp2022@gmail.com an application for participation, which should contain information about the speaker (name, scientific degree, academic title, position, organization, e-mail, phone) and the thesis of the report (1 -2 p.).
