On May 07-09, 2026, the XXVIII International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Combinatorial Configurations and Their Applications" took place. The event was organized by the Central Ukrainian National Technical University in cooperation with the V.M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic," with the support of Zaporizhzhia National University, Cardiff University (United Kingdom), Madrid Polytechnic University (Spain), the International Research Center for Vortex Energy, as well as the public organization "System Research."
The seminar’s topics attracted the attention of specialists from various fields of knowledge. The scientific event was attended by 100 participants, including: 30 doctors of science (15 physical-mathematical, 10 technical, 2 pedagogical, 1 economic, 1 geological, 1 philological); 46 candidates of science (26 physical-mathematical, 17 technical, 1 pedagogical, 1 economic); 9 lecturers and researchers without a scientific degree; 15 postgraduate and second (master’s) level higher education students.
The participants represented 33 Ukrainian and foreign higher education institutions and academic institutes, 1 scientific-production enterprise, and 3 public organizations. Among the foreign participants were representatives from the University of Warsaw (Poland), the Institute of Mathematics of Lodz Polytechnic University (Poland), Madrid Polytechnic University (Spain), the Samarkand branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies (Uzbekistan), and the University of Groningen (Netherlands).
